The U12 boys (P) team got a much needed 3-1 victory on Sunday vs. the Junior Pioneers.

Goals were scored by Kyle Monaghan, Asumanhi Bangura and Nick Caputo as the team overcame a one goal deficit. As the game went on, the boys played stronger and took complete control a few minutes into the second half.

Defensively, Sean Borlen, Peter Miller, and Will Echeverria sealed up the defensive third of the field closing off any Pioneer scoring chances.

Coach Alan provost is hoping that this victory can turn around a difficult start to the boys spring season.

The team has two regular season games remaining (Sun 5/13, 5pm vs NEFC at Elms College and Sun 5/20 vs FC Spartans, away).

The team will then compete in the NESC (New England Soccer Classic) in Cape Cod, MA and also in the Paul Irwin Cup.

The Irwin Cup Tournament features all the top teams from the entire U12 age bracket across the state of Massachusetts and takes place at Citizens Bank Fields in Lancaster, MA.

TRYOUT DATES FOR THE 2012-2013 SEASON HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

VSA United has scheduled tryouts for next year.

VSA United is introducing a new U12 Boys team in the Spring of 2012.

The team will be coached by Steve Croft, Asst. Coach of the WNEU Men's Soccer Team.

The team will compete in MAPLE's White Division.

SUMMER CAMP JULY 9 - JULY 13 and JULY 23 - JULY 27

VSA United will be conducting 2 summer camps. 

The camps are open to players age 7 and older. Campers are placed in groups by age and ability. The curriculum includes techniques and tactics tailored to the player’s ability.

All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.
