TRYOUT DATES FOR THE 2013-2014 SEASON HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

VSA United is accepting registrations for its Soccer Academy.

The Academy is open to boys and girls, ages U5 through U10, and runs from May through mid-June.

VSA BEGINS SPRING WITH GREAT SHOWING

The VSA United u13 boys team got an excellent early start to the spring 2013 season as they were the runner-up in the Scorpion Bowl preseason tournament. The team's only loss (4-3 in PK's) was to eventual champion St. Hubert of Canada.

There was little doubt on how VSA reached the finals - they did it with defense. During the group stage of the tournament, VSA did not allow a single goal. The team earned two 1-0 victories over NY Elite and NEFC and a scoreless tie vs Hammer FC. In the championship game, the boys posted another shut out through two overtime periods before falling in the shootout.

Coach Alan Provost was especially proud of the boys and is looking forward to a solid MAPLE Season. "This season we want to focus strictly on the seven MAPLE games of the upcoming season. That is it. We opted for a preseason tournament over a postseason one for a reason. The performance in Woburn was exactly what we were hoping for. Now we want to build upon it."

The seedings and schedules for the 2013 MYSA State Cup tournament have been announced.

Ryan Reynolds, a senior midfielder at Cathedral High School and a member of the VSA U18 Boys team, has earned All-America Honors.

Coach Viviano, Coach Pantuosco and the entire VSA family want to congratulate Ryan on achieving this tremendous milestone!

VSA United will be hosting the WVSC Spring Kickoff Classic Soccer Tournament for boys and girls, U10 through U18, March 23, 2013 and March 24, 2013.

VSA United U12 Boys team coached by David Kelley won the MPS Soccerween Tournament held November 11.

The team went 3-0-1 and did not yield a single goal to an opponent.
